IBM or I Bang Men?

“You have an IBM? That means you’re gay” said a sixth-grade Paul.

“Oh yeah, why?” questioned his confused friend.

“It stands for I Bang Men,” remarked the still sixth grade Paul. (On-lookers erupt in laughter.)

Picture the scene I just painted for you. It’s from Paul’s past.

Immature? Offensive to people who are gays? Or is it instead funny? I wasn’t sure what to make of it, but Paul told me tonight that he used that line in middle school and everyone thought he was the funniest person on the planet.

Hmmmm. I am a little confused and questionable about this video post by Paul. It is more of a political video than a comedy one. There is a really great word I know that says what this is: Partisan. People who read his blog will assume that he is a Democrat. What if a hot Republican chick is on the web and comes across Paul’s post. She will say: “These are not my political views. Goodbye Paul. Goodbye forever!”

New video I did for TheLandline. PLEASE send it to everyone!

It is true that we made this video yesterday. But what you might not know is all the intersting things that happened when we edited the video. (side note: you may think that it doesn’t take that long to edit a video. Especially one that is only a minute and a half long. But if you thought this you would be wrong.)

The first interesting thing that happened is we heard people have sex! Not in Paul’s apartment ha. No, but in the apartment next store. Paul’s roommate Mike and I put our ears against the wall so we could hear the sexual noises more clearly. At first I thought the woman was alone, but then Mike said he heard a man grunting softly so we knew she wasn’t just by herself. They didn’t do it for very long. Mike and I got in a discussion if it was a quickie or if he had just heard the peak moments. Mike thought it was just the peak moments. At first I disagreed but now i might agree.

Another funny thing that happened was also related to a girl. A girl called Paul
Mike and I pretended to be the girl and mimed girl movements like we were in a judd apatow movie. The girl on the phone used to date Paul. She told us about a porn site called fart cake. I will let your imagination tell you what happens. We got into another argument on whether or not the fart noises were in real time or if they were added in post production. This time we all agreed: Post production.

I didn’t get home from Paul’s until 2:15 in the morning!

Paul hasn’t posted anything today but his friend Travis did so I’m going to pretend that Paul posted this video so I can write about it.

It’s by Tim and Eric and I actually think they may be my favorite sketch performers that exist — alive or dead. I like how weird it is but also that it’s funny. I think it’s a hard challenge to know when something is weird and funny and not just weird. I don’t know if that description makes sense. Ha!

When you start a new blog or profile, picking that knockout profile picture is no doubt one of the most important elements! Do you see my profile picture? (Enlarged above.) I picked one where I was laughing and shrugging my shoulders. This can convey to people that laughing is an important facet of your personality. Your profile picture can also convey to people whether or not you are bearded, or have been bearded in the past. I want to talk about another person’s profile picture. My friend Paul’s. He picked a posed shot with his cat. I was actually with him when he made the choice and had some influence over the decision. You may think that Paul is trying to convey that he is a cat person. But actually it’s sort of a joke! Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post where I’ll explain the joke… CLIFFHANGER!!!
